Decent protection, slow download

I purchased the Total Security package for my family. The software itself seems robust; I like the Parental Controls and Password Manager features, which were easy to set up. However, the initial download took quite a while, even on a fast connection. I also wish their customer support hours were a bit more extended for after-work questions. But for the price, the level of protection is good.

Good for Mac

I got the Antivirus for Mac after my old one expired. It was pretty easy to set up, didn't take too long. My computer still runs fast, which is good. Overall, it seems like a solid choice for keeping things safe without slowing me down. No complaints so far.

Great value on Antivirus

As a first-time buyer, I was looking for the best deal on internet security. I picked up the Antivirus for Windows during a Black Friday sale. The 50% discount made it a really attractive option compared to others I checked out. It was easy to download and install, and it's been running smoothly since. For the price I paid, I feel like I got excellent value. Definitely worth the purchase if you can snag a good deal.

Reliable security again

This is my third year with G Data, and I just renewed my Internet Security license. It's consistently good. I've never had any major issues with viruses or malware, and the renewal process was as straightforward as always. They even offered a small discount for being a returning customer, which was a nice touch. It just works, and that's why I keep coming back.

Is G Data Total Security actually worth the extra money compared to just the regular Antivirus? I'm debating which one to get.

S Susan Smith 2 days ago
i think so, the parental controls and password manager are actually pretty useful. depends if you need that stuff.

For me, the BankGuard and exploit protection alone make Total Security worth it. The extra features are solid if you'll use them, otherwise maybe just stick to Internet Security.

if I buy a multi-device license, how do I actually download it on all my devices? is it like a single code for all or separate installs?

L Leah 6 days ago
You get a single license key for your account, and then you just download the software on each device and activate it with that key. Super simple process.

Once you buy, you just log into your G Data account, download the right version for each device (Windows, Mac, Android, etc.), and use your one license key to activate them. It keeps track of how many devices you've used.

Anyone compared G Data to Norton recently? Trying to decide which one to go with, heard good things about both but not sure which is better for overall protection.

O Olivia Allen 1 week ago
G Data is really good with ransomware and exploit protection, I'd say it's more robust on those fronts. Norton is okay but sometimes feels heavier on system resources.

I switched from Norton to G Data a couple of years ago and haven't looked back. G Data felt a lot less intrusive and the scans were quicker for me. Plus, it's a German company if that matters to you for privacy.

Does G Data have some kind of student discount? trying to save some cash but need good protection for my school laptop.

M Mark Hernandez 3 weeks ago
Yep, they usually do. Check their site, there's usually a student discount link somewhere.

I got a student discount last year, so I assume it's still active. Just look for it on their promotions page or google 'G Data student discount'.
